Mary Margaret Karp

Personal

Mary Margaret (Maggie) was an “Army Brat” who was born in South Carolina.  The eldest of four children, she lived in Japan and Iceland as well as various parts of the United States, until her father retired from the Army.  After that, she lived her teenage years in Youngstown, Ohio.  She got her Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida and her Master’s degree from the University of Central Florida. She has an abiding interest in politics and religion; she enjoys making jewelry, cooking, reading non-fiction, “antiquing,” and bargain hunting in thrift stores.  Maggie has a grown daughter who obtained a Master’s degree in International Business, has traveled the world, and is building a career in marketing.

Professional  

Over the course of her  career, she has served clients in many central Florida treatment  programs, providing individual, group, and family therapy for the entire spectrum of emotional , addiction, and skills issues — trauma, depression,  anxiety, and addictions have been prominent themes.   Her successful treatment of clients  has resulted in leadership positions as Senior Clinician, Clinical Director, Program Director, and Executive Director.

Maggie has continued her education to obtain multiple certifications and competencies in a wide range of techniques and modalities.  In addition, she has completed all course work toward a Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology.

Jim Bunsa

Personal

Jim was born in Miami and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He got his bachelor’s degree from University of Miami and both of his Master’s degrees from Florida International University. He is an avid golfer and his wife says he is a world class back yard griller.

Professional 

Jim spearheads the Executive Coaching and Career Coaching at Insight Counseling and coaching. He is an outcome-focused organization consultant with extensive experience in performance improvement. He leverages his expertise in financial and operational measures and metrics, learned over 30 years as a consultant and in executive level positions, to improve the organization’s profitability and achieve results linked to important business objectives.

Companies engage Jim to drive processes that measure and document improvements,manage change with executives, and build organizational communication plans that engage all stakeholders. Jim’s approach builds shared responsibility for outcomes –everyone has vested interest in success. Subsequently, challenges get addressed.

Jim is a long time member of both the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) and the local chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), and served as past president of the Central Florida Chapter. He is a member of the American Finance Association (AFA).

Jim utilizes his knowledge and skills obtained from both the practitioner and academic realms. He continues to teach in the MBA and Finance programs for Webster University and is Mentor to the new faculty of the MBA program for the Orlando Metropolitan campuses. He has earned two advanced degrees – two masters including an MBA.  He has authored numerous publications on management style and motivation, and has co-authored training manuals for employee selection and interviewing.

He is a founding director of DHJ and Associates, Inc., a people process consulting, performance improvement and coaching, and training and development firm based in Central Florida.
